Cradles to Crayons is hiring a Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives and high-impact strategic projects that directly support our mission to end Clothing Insecurity for children across the United States. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will develop and implement a project management strategy that strengthens our organizational systems, fosters collaboration, and ensures timely, mission-aligned execution.
About Cradles to Crayons
Cradles to Crayons (C2C) is a national nonprofit founded in 2002 that provides children living in homelessness or low-income situations with essential items they need to thrive—such as clothing, shoes, diapers, and school supplies—free of charge. With a mission focused on eliminating Clothing Insecurity, we have supported over 6 million children through operations in Massachusetts, Greater Philadelphia, Chicagoland, and nationally through our digital platform, Giving Factory Direct.
We operate using a three-pronged approach:

Advocacy and awareness to make Clothing Insecurity a recognized national issue
Key Responsibilities

Develop and lead an organization-wide project management strategy

Manage a portfolio of strategic and cross-departmental projects

Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and resource alignment

Lead all phases of project management (initiation, planning, execution, closure) using frameworks such as RACI or MOCHA

Track deliverables, risk factors, and milestones while keeping leadership informed

Select and implement project management tools for the organization

Lead collaboration between internal teams and external consultants

Provide training and resources to increase project management capacity

Adapt processes to evolving organizational needs

Foster a culture aligned with C2C’s mission and values

Travel 1–4 times per year to local markets (Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia)
Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience managing and executing complex projects

Bachelor’s degree or PMP certification preferred

Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)

Skilled in tools such as Excel, Airtable, Smartsheet, or other project management platforms

Strong decision-making, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

Excellent communication skills (verbal & written English)

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $78,000 – $85,000 (based on experience & geographic benchmarks)

Working Conditions
