Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing mid-rise and/or high-rise construction projects, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will oversee all phases of the construction lifecycle, from pre-construction planning through project completion, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Scheduling:
  • Lead the development of detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope and objectives.
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure milestones are met, identifying potential risks or delays early.
  • Team Management:
  • Manage and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project teams to discuss progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Lead safety briefings, ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols.
  • Budget and Cost Control:
  • Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and compliance with financial controls.
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices and change orders.
  • Track and report on project expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities and avoiding budget overruns.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Ensure that all construction work meets industry standards, building codes, and client specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
  • Coordinate with third-party inspectors and government agencies to ensure compliance with local building regulations.
  • Risk Management and Problem-Solving:
  • Proactively identify potential project risks (scheduling, quality, safety, etc.) and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve on-site challenges related to project delays, resource shortages, or design discrepancies.
  • Client Liaison:
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Address any client concerns promptly and professionally, working to resolve issues to maintain trust and project integrity.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of project documentation, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Provide regular project progress reports to senior management, highlighting key accomplishments, risks, and any required actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 3 years specifically focused on mid-rise or high-rise buildings.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects from inception to completion, including budgets, timelines, and teams.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, or similar tools).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification.
  • Experience with LEED-certified projects or sustainable construction practices.
  • Experience managing high-rise or multi-use development projects.
