Role Overview
The Project Manager will plan, develop, and manage medium to large cross-divisional, multi-year projects within REI’s Search teams. Projects have both business and technology components. You will use structured project management methodologies to ensure successful delivery, quality outcomes, and alignment with REI’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities

Initiate, plan, control, and close cross-divisional, multi-year projects

Advocate and evolve REI’s project management methodology

Develop project budgets, organize project teams, and schedule resources

Manage project progress, communicate status to management, and track deliverables

Ensure completion of project charter, plans, schedules, requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation

Manage risks, issues, decision-making, and change requests
-
Identify and manage cross-project interdependencies
-
Coach, train, and guide less experienced staff

Participate in strategic roadmap planning and portfolio review meetings

Experience with 3rd party search vendors such as Constructor or Lucidworks preferred
Qualifications & Skills
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience

PMI PMP and/or Scrum Master Certification preferred
-
5+ years managing medium to large cross-divisional projects with both business and technology focus
-
5+ years building and leading teams
-
Experience with structured project management methodology

Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

Ability to make informed decisions under ambiguity and competing priorities

Effective communication, listening, and leadership skills

Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new domain knowledge
