About the Role
The Provider Data Specialist maintains accurate data in CorVel’s national provider database (NDB), which supports the National PPO lookup and the bill review process. This role ensures provider information is current, correct, and processed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

Research provider credentialing, NPI, specialty, licenses, and certifications before adding providers or contracts.

Process provider requests within 24 hours for live bills.

Notify PPO staff when items require escalation beyond your authority.

Add and terminate providers within 5 days of receipt via SharePoint or group mailbox.

Update and maintain the PPO roster and Provider Portal within 30 days of request.

Correct historical errors and maintain data integrity by merging or removing duplicate records.

Participate in additional projects and duties as assigned.

Maintain regular and consistent attendance while complying with safety rules (IIPP).
Knowledge & Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
Education & Experience
-
High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 1 year of professional office experience.
Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $16.36 – $26.31 per hour (based on location, skills, experience, and role level).
