About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic Finance Team. Based at our Ross-on-Wye Head Office, you’ll report to the Purchasing Supervisor and Management Accountant, playing a key role in the smooth running of procurement operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous purchasing or supply chain experience who is looking to develop their career in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise and manage purchase orders and goods receipts using the BC procurement system

  • Research and assess suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability

  • Verify and process supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with agreed terms

  • Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure smooth procurement operations

  • Provide support in daily purchasing activities and help monitor departmental performance

  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for internal reporting and service delivery

  • Promote sustainability in office practices and maintain a safe, organised workspace

  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations

  • Familiarity with procurement or finance systems (e.g., BC)

  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively

  • A high level of professionalism and discretion
