Join the University of Huddersfield as a Pure Administrator
The University of Huddersfield is looking for a motivated Pure Administrator to join the Research, Innovation, and Knowledge Exchange Service (RIKE). As a Pure Administrator, you’ll be key to ensuring research outputs are accurately recorded and effectively showcased through PURE, the University’s Research Information System and Open Access repository. This is a full-time, permanent role offering £27,180 – £31,077 per year, working 37 hours per week.
Responsibilities of a Pure Administrator
As a Pure Administrator, your core duties will include:

Maintaining, enriching, and quality-checking research output records within PURE.

Acting as the first point of contact for academic staff queries related to PURE and associated workflows.

Supporting Open Access activities, including processing Article Processing Charges (APCs) for publications.

Assisting in advocacy efforts for PURE and preparing research outputs for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) submissions.
You’ll play a vital role in keeping research data accurate, complete, and fully up to date.
Skills and Qualifications Needed for a Pure Administrator
What Makes a Great Pure Administrator:

GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or equivalent, along with 2 A Levels or relevant work experience.

Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office, and experience working with inter-relational database systems.

Previous experience in administrative roles is essential.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High attention to detail and the ability to work independently and accurately.

Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing tasks.
