About the Opportunity

Goliath Partners is currently partnering with a prestigious global quantitative trading firm with offices in New York City and Chicago. The firm has experienced remarkable growth over the past two years and is actively seeking an experienced Quantitative Researcher to join their expanding team. They are open to candidates who may be subject to non-compete agreements, willing to wait up to 24 months for the right fit.

Role Overview

As a Quantitative Researcher, you will collaborate closely with the research team to advance the firm’s trading strategies. Your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth research on sophisticated algorithms, developing predictive models, and rigorously testing complex hypotheses by analyzing large and diverse datasets. Your work will directly contribute to the firm’s innovative approach to quantitative trading.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related quantitative discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing trading strategies across one or more asset classes.

  • Proficiency in machine learning techniques and data science methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Recognized accomplishments in mathematics, such as participation or awards in competitions.

  • A strong, ongoing commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements.

  • Experience in alternative investments, equity options, or fixed income markets is highly desirable.

Compensation

  • The total compensation package for this role ranges from $750,000 to $1,500,000, reflecting the seniority and expertise required.
