Company Overview

Nemours: A Legacy of Caring for Every Child

At Nemours, we are passionately dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of children. As a nonprofit pediatric health system, we view the care of every child as a profound responsibility and privilege.

With hospitals and specialty clinics across Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida, we deliver family-centered care designed to meet the unique needs of every child. Our commitment goes beyond clinical excellence — we engage in groundbreaking research, education, and advocacy to shape a healthier future for children everywhere, including those we may never meet in person.

Founded more than 80 years ago through the vision of Alfred I. duPont, Nemours was built on the belief that no effort should be spared in preventing and treating childhood illnesses — especially the most complex and debilitating ones.

Today, Nemours cares for more than 250,000 children each year across our Delaware Valley and Florida locations. Families from across the nation and around the globe seek out our world-class specialists, trusting us to treat their children as if they were our own.

But our mission doesn’t stop at the hospital door. We champion children’s health at national and global levels, leading the way in prevention, early intervention, education, and research.

As we grow to meet the needs of more families, we’re expanding our footprint — with over 1.1 million square feet of dedicated pediatric healthcare space currently in use or under construction. Every new space is designed with the help and insight of our patients and their families, ensuring that our care environment reflects the compassion and excellence we strive for every day.
