Position: Radiologic Technologist
Primary Purpose
Responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic radiographic images to support effective patient care in the assigned Radiology area.
Education & Certification Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Radiology Program is required.

Must be eligible for ARRT (R) certification based on recognized education or equivalent experience.

ARRT Radiography (R) certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license required within 6 months of hire.

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network required at the time of hire.

Key Responsibilities

Perform a variety of basic to advanced radiographic exams, adjusting techniques to fit patient needs.

Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.

Accurately document procedures and maintain electronic medical records.

Administer contrast materials as appropriate and monitor for reactions.

Prepare equipment and exam rooms, ensuring readiness and functionality.

Transport patients and collaborate with care teams for comprehensive care.

Support quality assurance programs and maintain testing records.

Participate in departmental meetings, training, and performance improvement initiatives.

Support peers and mentor newer staff or students as a role model and potential team lead.

Maintain licensure and integrate new knowledge into daily practice.
