The University of Miami/UHealth Orthopedics Clinic is seeking a per diem Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Miami, FL. This role involves performing radiological exams for patients referred for diagnostic purposes, producing radiographs, and ensuring minimal radiation exposure to patients.
Core Job Functions:

Operates radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to capture images for diagnostic use.

Reviews and assesses developed images (e.g., x-rays, video tapes, computer-generated data) to confirm they meet diagnostic requirements.

Records detailed and accurate patient medical histories.

Explains procedures to patients, monitors their safety and comfort during scans, and reports any abnormal signs to the physician.

Positions and immobilizes patients as needed on the examination table.

Adjusts imaging equipment settings (exposure time, distance, etc.) to capture the required diagnostic images.

Manages patient data and treatment records, and prepares necessary reports.

Ensures examination rooms are properly organized and that equipment is ready for use.

Performs routine maintenance and minor emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.

Complies with University and department policies and safeguards University assets.
Qualifications:

Associate degree in a relevant field required.

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required.

Certification in the relevant specialty or field required.
