Job Summary

Monument Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging in ambulatory and acute care settings under the direction of a Radiologist. This role involves patient positioning, imaging procedures, quality control, and equipment operation while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiology exams, including CR/DR and fluoroscopy, ensuring high-quality imaging.
  • Operate radiological equipment and ensure proper exam acquisition for interpretation.
  • Educate patients on procedures and maintain infection control standards.
  • Assist physicians with imaging-related procedures as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, billing, and scheduling in the Radiology Information System.
  • Monitor and report equipment malfunctions.
  • Support training and education for radiography students in Monument Health’s teaching environment.
  • Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff through proper protection techniques.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED & completion of a Radiology Program.
  • Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification – ARRT.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 60 days of hire).

Preferred:

  • 1+ year of radiography experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift/move up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequent exposure to radiation and infectious materials.
  • Flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
