Radiologic Technologist – Job Description

Position Summary:
Performs a wide range of high-quality radiographic procedures, including fluoroscopy under the direction of a physician. Ensures imaging follows ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles across all age groups. Supports departmental workflows, which may include front desk responsibilities, vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, patient intake, and other duties aligned with scope of practice.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent training/experience.

  • Licensure/Certifications:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS)

    • Certified Radiologic Technologist

    • ARRT Registered Technologist – Radiography

  • Additional Qualifications:

    • Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program.

    • ARRT certification (or eligibility).

    • At least 6 months’ experience in an acute care setting preferred.

    • Flexibility to perform other clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and assisting with registration based on departmental needs.

    • Adaptability and openness to change are essential.
