Position Overview
This role is responsible for performing radiographic (X-ray) exams to support physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. It may also involve assisting with more advanced imaging procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
-
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Licenses/Certifications:
-
Basic or Advanced Life Support certification (required)

Texas Medical Board Radiologic Technologist License (MRT) – active or temporary (required)

ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R) certification (required)
Experience/Skills:
-
Ability to safely lift and assist patients as needed for imaging procedures
Key Responsibilities

Conducts diagnostic X-ray exams following all radiation safety protocols

Prepares and positions patients, obtains vitals, explains procedures, administers contrast as needed, and ensures high-quality images

Enters and manages patient data accurately

Performs regular quality assurance checks on equipment

May assist with imaging accreditation processes (e.g., ACR applications)

Reports incidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to management

Participates in emergency call rotation; may be required to work weekends or float between sites

May assist in administering breath alcohol or urine drug tests

May perform registration duties such as verifying insurance or collecting co-pays

Adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies and safety standards while managing time, supplies, and resources efficiently
