Position Overview
This role is responsible for performing radiographic (X-ray) exams to support physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. It may also involve assisting with more advanced imaging procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Basic or Advanced Life Support certification (required)

  • Texas Medical Board Radiologic Technologist License (MRT) – active or temporary (required)

  • ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R) certification (required)

Experience/Skills:

  • Ability to safely lift and assist patients as needed for imaging procedures

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts diagnostic X-ray exams following all radiation safety protocols

  • Prepares and positions patients, obtains vitals, explains procedures, administers contrast as needed, and ensures high-quality images

  • Enters and manages patient data accurately

  • Performs regular quality assurance checks on equipment

  • May assist with imaging accreditation processes (e.g., ACR applications)

  • Reports incidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to management

  • Participates in emergency call rotation; may be required to work weekends or float between sites

  • May assist in administering breath alcohol or urine drug tests

  • May perform registration duties such as verifying insurance or collecting co-pays

  • Adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies and safety standards while managing time, supplies, and resources efficiently
