Ramsden Hall Academy: Residential Child Care Worker Opportunity
Ramsden Hall Academy is excited to offer an opportunity for dedicated individuals to join our team as a Residential Child Care Worker. Located in a supportive, therapeutic environment, our Residential Child Care Worker role will have you working with boys aged 10 to 16 who face a range of social, emotional, and mental health challenges. We are a successful academy with a Good Ofsted status and an Outstanding residential provision. We aim to create a nurturing environment where each young person can thrive.
Key Responsibilities for Ramsden Hall Academy: Residential Child Care Worker
As a Ramsden Hall Academy: Residential Child Care Worker, you will:

Support students from the time they finish school until the following morning

Help with after-school routines, including healthy snacks, physical activities, and evening activities

Foster positive and trusting relationships while encouraging personal growth
-
Ensure students adhere to acceptable behavioural standards in a calm and safe environment
-
Contribute to placement plans, risk assessments, and activity schedules
-
Participate in residential holidays and on-call duties when required
Required Skills and Experience for Ramsden Hall Academy: Residential Child Care Worker
We require:

Proven experience or a passion for working with children and young people with SEMH needs

Ability to work as part of a team while showing initiative

NVQ Level 3 in Child/Young Person’s Care (or equivalent) is desirable

Full driving licence (D1 minibus qualification is a plus)

Ability to manage confidential data and comply with GDPR
