Responsibilities
- Follow safety procedures and wear protective clothing.
- Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for best pricing.
- Process requisitions and update Company Management on status of orders.
- Co-ordinate with Raw Materials Store Controller, and Company Management, to ensure that stock is kept at appropriate levels.
- Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and Company Management.
- Assist with month-end stock counts in the Raw Material Store, as and when required, by the Raw Materia Store Controller.
- Assist with the processing of daily stock transfers, when needed.
- Any other reasonable instructions within the scope of work.
Requirements
- Matric/ High School Diploma
