Responsibilities of a Re-use Shop Operative

 Daily Duties for a Re-use Shop Operative

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the re-use shop at Knowle Hill HWRC

• Price, organise, and merchandise donated items to increase sales and improve the customer experience

• Operate the till, handle returns, refunds, and maintain accurate financial records

• Liaise with the re-use hub manager about stock levels and deliveries

• Promote the eco-friendly and charitable purpose of the shop to customers

• Manage collections and deliveries efficiently and securely

• Maintain stock security and the safety of the shop premises

 What We’re Looking For

This is the perfect role for a motivated Re-use Shop Operative who:

• Has a passion for environmental projects and re-use initiatives

• Possesses prior retail or customer service experience

• Understands stock management, pricing, and merchandising

• Is flexible with shift work and weekend availability

• Is confident working independently in the shop

• Has great teamwork skills to collaborate with HWRC site staff
