About the Role:

We are hiring a Reception and Sales Colleague (Placemaker) to join our friendly and energetic team at Places Leisure, part of Places for People Group—a social enterprise that creates active places and healthy people, empowering communities to thrive.

As a Placemaker, you’ll be at the heart of our leisure centres—delivering a welcoming, efficient, and inspiring customer experience. You’ll promote health, wellbeing, and membership benefits while helping us grow our active communities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver first-class customer service at reception, in-person, and by phone

  • Create a warm, welcoming, and professional first impression for all visitors

  • Handle membership enquiries, bookings, and daily operational tasks

  • Use sales tools and techniques to achieve performance targets

  • Promote the benefits of physical activity and healthy living

  • Support a safe and positive leisure environment for all customers

What We’re Looking For:

  • Friendly, proactive, and sales-driven individuals

  • Excellent people and communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task and manage operational duties confidently

  • Comfortable using membership systems and sales tools

  • Passionate about health and wellbeing

  • Previous experience in sales or customer service is a plus—but not essential
