The Role: A Day in the Life
As a Front Office Team Member, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests—setting the tone for their entire stay. From delivering a seamless check-in and check-out experience to offering information about the hotel and city, you’ll be the face of our warm Manchester welcome.
You’ll support the Front Office Manager by handling guest feedback, using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services, and ensuring all processes comply with hotel standards and safety regulations. You’ll also assist other departments as needed, helping to deliver a truly exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities

Welcome and check in/out guests efficiently and warmly

Use up-selling strategies to drive hotel revenue and promote services

Respond to guest requests, questions, and feedback in a professional manner

Maintain accurate records and handle reservations using hotel software

Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and fire regulations

Assist with front desk admin tasks and ensure the reception area remains presentable

Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
What We’re Looking For

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Experience with reservation and property management systems (Opera/Fidelio preferred)

Basic IT skills – Microsoft Office, email, internet

A proactive, positive approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure
