Job Summary:

The Records Specialist provides records management support and ensures all operational procedures in the records center are carried out accurately and professionally. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality customer service and promoting teamwork.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and barcode client files (active and inactive)

  • Perform data entry in records management systems and assist users with information requests

  • Respond to calls and email inquiries

  • Prepare and process files for off-site storage

  • Assist with delivery/pickup of storage boxes and escort off-site vendors

  • Conduct scheduled audits in records center and throughout the office

  • Support retention and destruction activities, including confidential shredding

  • Provide assistance with case room management and scheduled file pickups

  • Support additional projects and assist records staff as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Professional and courteous client service

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle confidential information

  • Intermediate proficiency in automated records management systems

  • Team-oriented mindset with a friendly, cooperative attitude

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access

  • Ability to safely lift boxes up to 25 lbs
