Your Impact: As a Regional HR Manager, you’ll be a key HR partner supporting labor relations, employee engagement, and workforce strategy across multiple U.S. sites, starting in Mapleton, IL. Your expertise in handling grievances, collaborating with union leadership, and navigating complex labor environments will be crucial. You’ll partner with site leadership to strengthen union relationships, drive HR strategy, and influence cultural transformation in a dynamic workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Guide site leadership on union-related HR functions, including labor relations and grievance resolution.
- Advise on complex labor disputes and negotiations, ensuring compliance.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with union representatives, leadership, and employees.
- Oversee hiring, transfers, separations, and workplace investigations in compliance with labor laws.
- Coach managers on dispute resolution and performance management in union environments.
- Lead workforce engagement efforts to improve site culture and retention.
- Influence business decisions by balancing site needs with corporate HR policies and labor agreements.
- Drive long-term cultural transformation to build stability and trust.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience with proven expertise in union relations (grievance resolution, labor relations, union collaboration).
- Strong background in employee relations, workplace investigations, and dispute resolution.
- Ability to strategically influence site leadership while adhering to corporate HR policies and labor agreements.
- Experience supporting multi-site HR in industrial, manufacturing, or chemical settings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software (Workday preferred).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30% (primarily regional, occasional international).
