Major Responsibilities

Meet or exceed revenue goals for assigned territory and customer book.

Grow existing customer base and acquire new clients within hospital systems.

Increase Baylor Genetics volume, identify new revenue streams, and upsell services.

Deliver strategic presentations on genetic analysis products to physicians, genetic counselors, and laboratory staff.

Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan to achieve sales objectives.

Maintain deep knowledge of market trends, competitors, clinical environment, and client behavior.

Collaborate with internal teams to identify and close sales opportunities in NICU, PICU, and pediatric genetics.

Communicate market insights and competitive intelligence to leadership and peers.

Leverage Medical Science Liaisons and internal resources to provide technical, clinical, and business solutions.

Ensure compliance with company policies, values, and mission.

Travel within and occasionally outside assigned territory for client meetings, conferences, and trainings.

Partner with Market Access teams for system-wide access strategies and payor advocacy.

Educate and train clients on Baylor Genetics’ genomics testing menu.

Analyze territory data to identify growth opportunities and market share trends.
Job Qualifications (Required)

Experience with NGS, molecular diagnostics, or genetics.

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Business, or Marketing preferred.

5+ years in a customer-facing sales role in healthcare, medical, or technical fields.

Proven history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Proficient in MS Office, email, internet, and CRM platforms (Salesforce or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling to hospitals, genetic counselors, and clinicians in pediatric genetics.

Successful track record in diagnostic or biotechnology sales.

Knowledge of NICU/PICU and pediatric genetics clinical environment.

Familiarity with sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger, SPIN).

Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
