The Role

We are seeking a Regional Human Resources Manager to oversee HR operations across our California offices (Los Angeles, Century City, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley). Reporting to the Directors of Administration and Human Resources, this role will focus on recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and performance management, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR partner for attorneys, staff, and leadership in California.
  • Lead talent acquisition, from job postings to onboarding.
  • Oversee performance management, including evaluations and training initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and firm policies.
  • Administer payroll, benefits, and leave programs in collaboration with HR teams.
  • Facilitate employee engagement initiatives and workplace culture programs.
  • Manage timekeeping, staffing workflows, and administrative assistant assignments.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services setting.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of California and federal labor laws.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, recruiting software, and performance management systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field; PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
