The Role:
We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager – West to manage Oatly’s retail channel across the Western U.S., focusing on Grocery and Natural accounts. This role drives sales, increases brand awareness, and builds long-term relationships with distributors, brokers, and key retail customers.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute Oatly’s retail sales strategy in the Western region.

Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with retailers, brokers, and distributors.

Execute sales plans, including distribution goals, promotional calendars, and trade spend strategies.

Forecast and report on sales performance, distribution, profitability, and trade spend metrics.

Manage customer-specific plans and ensure timely internal communication of updates and recommendations.

Lead category review cycles using syndicated data (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI) to drive fact-based selling.

Oversee demand forecasts, shipment planning, promotional execution, and shopper marketing initiatives.

Manage broker relationships, set clear goals, and conduct periodic market visits.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Strategy, Category Management, Customer Service, and Marketing teams.

Represent Oatly at trade shows, conferences, and internal events.
Qualifications:

High school diploma required; undergraduate degree preferred.

4+ years in retail sales, sales management, or CPG account management (Grocery & Natural channels).

Experience managing Western U.S. retail accounts (e.g., Sprouts, Raley’s, Gelsons, PCC).

Knowledge of distribution methods, including direct shipping and 3rd party suppliers (UNFI, KeHE, DPI).

Prior experience managing brokers and using syndicated data (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI) for category management.

Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, organization, and communication.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.

Willingness to travel ~50% for customer meetings, trade shows, and market visits.
