Responsibilities of a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
- Assess residents’ nutritional needs and develop personalized meal plans
- Monitor compliance with state, federal, and local regulations
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents, families, and staff
- Document residents’ nutritional progress and adjust care plans accordingly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance residents’ overall well-being
- Travel to multiple facilities as needed
Qualifications for a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Certified/Licensed in the state of practice
- Familiarity with state survey processes and compliance standards (preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license for multi-site positions
- Must meet COVID-19 vaccination requirements
