Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and applying clinical and nursing processes within AltaMed clinics, under the guidance of the Nursing Supervisor, Nursing Director, or Chief Nursing Executive (CNE). The RN is accountable for ensuring the effective implementation of the nursing process and the provision of patient-centered care.
This role involves conducting patient assessments, performing nursing interventions, and maintaining accurate documentation of patient care and outcomes. The RN collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary clinic team, medical staff and clinical operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California State Board of Nursing (required).
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse is required (excluding CHLA positions).
- Prior experience in an ambulatory care setting, such as a clinic or Urgent Care, is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred and may be required depending on the location.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
