Registered Nurse (RN) – Position Overview

At Recovery Innovations, our Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in overseeing the medical, psychiatric, substance use, and nursing care of individuals in our programs. This position also serves as a clinical liaison, ensuring seamless transitions for individuals as they enroll in services at other community facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with public and private health, mental health, and social service agencies to coordinate care.

  • Assist individuals in service planning, including documentation and preparation.

  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

  • Provide individual and family counseling as needed.

  • Participate in curriculum development for educational programs.

  • Oversee and/or administer nursing treatments and health monitoring, including diabetes and blood pressure care.

  • Dispense and manage medications in accordance with medical protocols.

  • Respond to crisis calls with appropriate assessment and intervention.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Adhere to RI International compliance standards, including the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.

  • Stay updated on federal and state regulations as well as company policies.

  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Education & Licensure

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

  • Valid and current state-specific RN license.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications, including indications, side effects, and interactions.

  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic documentation.

  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to conduct assessments and develop treatment plans.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong listening and documentation skills.

  • Experience in Trauma-Informed Care preferred.

  • Bilingual candidates preferred.

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a behavioral health setting.

  • Completion of de-escalation training, as required by state regulations.

  • Commitment to confidentiality (HIPAA) and professional standards.


Additional Employment Requirements

This role requires:

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and handling objects.

  • Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and use of auditory senses.

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds when necessary.
