Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Wound Care Center, adhering to established hospital and nursing protocols.

Conduct patient intake and discharge processes in alignment with clinical standards.

Support vein clinic operations upon successful completion of Healogics Vein Clinic training.

Serve as Case Manager for assigned patients, including:
-
Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments and communicating findings with providers.

Evaluating wound stage and dimensions, documenting care plans, and monitoring patient progress toward desired outcomes.

Identifying and escalating complex care needs and coordinating interventions.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide patient and caregiver education.

Serve as a patient advocate, promoting effective care coordination and communication.

Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties after completing required Healogics HBO training.

May serve as Hyperbaric Safety Director upon successful completion of applicable training.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including Wound Care Center Providers, the Program Director, and Medical Director.

May perform documentation assistance (scribe) duties in accordance with policy.

Carry out additional duties as needed to support patient care and clinic operations.
Qualifications
Education & Licensure:
-
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
-
Active RN license in the state of Colorado (must remain current throughout employment)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Preferred Certifications & Experience:
-
Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Home Health, or Wound Care
-
Prior experience in wound care settings is highly desirable
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficiency in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities

Familiarity with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)

Ability to explain complex clinical information in simple terms

High level of customer service and follow-up

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Teaching and patient education capabilities

Team-oriented with the ability to remain calm under pressure

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Experience with electronic medical records and computerized nursing systems
Physical Demands

Extended periods of sitting or computer use (4+ hours)

Frequent bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, and lifting (up to 20 lbs independently; up to 75 lbs with equipment)
