Role Expectations:

  • Coordination of Care: You will be responsible for coordinating care to meet the identified needs of patients and their families, using critical thinking and the nursing process.

  • Supervision and Advocacy: Oversee patient care management, including discharge planning, identifying resources, and advocating for patients.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare teams to coordinate care across the continuum and assist in meeting individual patient needs.

  • Flexibility: This role may require flexibility in work hours based on department needs.


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) is required. If you hold an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), you must be enrolled in a BSN program with the expectation of completing the degree within two years of hire or transfer to an RN position.

  • Diploma or transcripts of the highest degree earned will be required.


Experience & Training:

  • Minimum of 2 years of current experience in an acute care area or equivalent service area.

  • Basic computer skills and experience with computerized documentation systems are required.


Licenses & Certifications:

Required:

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.

Preferred:

  • Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC-NIC) certification.
