Registered Nurse – Tissue Donor Chart Reviewer (Remote/On-Site)
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in acute or critical care to support our tissue donor chart review process. This vital role ensures compliance with FDA, AATB, and various state and international regulations by conducting second-level quality reviews of donor records.
Primary Responsibilities:

Perform in-depth reviews of donor charts to evaluate disease history and critical care indicators.

Analyze post-donation information to assess potential impacts on donor eligibility and tissue suitability.

Escalate findings when necessary for regulatory compliance or follow-up actions.

Uphold standards of accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance in all aspects of tissue donation review.
Required Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of recent RN experience in acute/critical care or transplant units.

Strong background in organ donation and transplant, emergency room (ER), operating room (OR), tissue or blood banking, or case management.

Proficient in interpreting medical records, navigating electronic medical records (EMRs), and understanding IV medications and critical care protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:

Active RN license in New Jersey (required).

Associate degree in Nursing is required; BSN or a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences is preferred.

Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within two years of hire.
