About the Role

Join Denver Health, Colorado’s leading academic healthcare system, as a Registered Nurse – Outpatient Behavioral Health. In this role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for patients undergoing opioid medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and other behavioral health services.

As part of our ACCESS grant program, eligible RNs can earn up to $7,500 in bonus incentives for treating patients with substance use disorders. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient-centered care using ANA Standards of Nursing and the ANA Code of Ethics.

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.

  • Safely administer medications and treatments according to policy.

  • Support and educate patients and families, advocating for their needs throughout the care process.

  • Supervise and train other clinic staff (medical assistants, care navigators, etc.) to ensure safe, high-quality care delivery.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality outcomes.


Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.

  • Licensure: Current Colorado RN license (DORA) and active BLS certification (AHA).

  • Experience: 1–3 years of direct patient care (behavioral health or correctional health preferred).

  • Skills: Strong critical thinking, calm in emergencies, excellent communication, and ability to use EPIC EMR (preferred).
