About the Role

Responsibilities
As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will:

Assess, plan, and provide safe, individualized nursing care for laboring patients and their families.

Perform admission interviews and document assessments.
-
Identify and respond promptly to changes in patient condition, notifying physicians or charge nurses as needed.
-
Provide emotional, psychological, and social support to patients and families.
-
Administer and document medications accurately.
-
Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and newborn care.
-
Facilitate interdisciplinary discharge planning.
-
Continuously evaluate and adjust care plans to meet evolving patient needs.
Qualifications
Experience
-
Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience required (L&D preferred).
Education
-
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
-
Current Texas RN license or Compact License (Texas must be obtained within 90 days).

Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
-
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS/ALS) – required.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – required.
-
RNC-OB (Inpatient Obstetrics Certification) – preferred.
