About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our patient-centered care team. As an RN, you’ll play a vital role in delivering quality, compassionate care to patients, supporting Kaiser Permanente’s mission to provide affordable, accessible, and socially relevant healthcare.

This is a hands-on nursing role where you’ll combine critical thinking, leadership, and evidence-based practices to meet both acute and chronic patient needs. You’ll also act as a mentor, advocate, and team leader in a dynamic, collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care across the continuum, including assessments, care planning, treatment, and evaluations.

  • Deliver culturally sensitive nursing care and patient education for diverse populations.

  • Perform triage and telephone advice independently within Oregon/Washington Nurse Practice Acts.

  • Coordinate care across multiple settings, focusing on transitional needs and continuity of care.

  • Lead, delegate, and mentor healthcare team members while ensuring quality standards.

  • Act as a patient advocate, addressing unmet health needs and supporting wellness.

  • Document care accurately, complying with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

  • Participate in continuous learning, research, and quality improvement initiatives.


Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

  • Active RN License (Oregon).

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Minimum 2 years RN experience in acute or ambulatory care within the last 5 years.

  • At least 2 years of circulating experience in inpatient or ambulatory surgery OR in the past 5 years.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to type 20+ WPM and willingness to learn computerized health systems.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field (completed or in progress).

  • Experience in case management, population health, or triage.
