Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern California, a Joint Commission Gold Seal-accredited facility, is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our patient-focused team. Position Summary:

The RN provides professional nursing care to patients within the assigned unit, including assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations. Care is focused on preventing complications, restoring optimal functioning, and supporting patients in adapting to physical disabilities. The RN integrates the hospital’s mission and guiding principles into daily practice.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions

  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care as needed

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care

  • Provide patient and family education to support wellness and adaptation to rehabilitation needs

  • Follow hospital policies, infection control procedures, and accreditation standards

  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain regulatory compliance

  • Utilize clinical documentation systems and maintain accurate patient records

  • Serve as a mentor or preceptor for new staff as needed


Required Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program (BSN preferred)

  • Current RN license in applicable state

  • Current CPR certification

  • Minimum of 1-year recent nursing experience preferred (acute care experience preferred)

  • ACLS certification preferred for LTACH and Texas facilities


Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of nursing theory, infection control, wound care, and accreditation standards (TJC, CMS)

  • Critical thinking and clinical decision-making

  • Effective communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

  • Competence in electronic medical records and general computer applications

  • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and confidentiality
