Position Overview:
As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, the RN will work under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing or Hospice Administrator to deliver high-quality, patient- and family-centered care. The RN is responsible for assessing needs, planning, and implementing care that promotes comfort and dignity during end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled, supportive nursing care in accordance with the attending physician’s orders and the patient’s individualized care plan.

  • Assess physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients and their families, and communicate effectively with physicians and other care team members.

  • Deliver nursing interventions aimed at enhancing comfort and quality of life.

  • Maintain adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Participate in on-call rotations as required.

  • Document patient care accurately and timely in compliance with hospice standards.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; current RN license in the state of Virginia.

  • Minimum of one year of direct patient care experience; hospice or palliative care experience strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong clinical judgment.

  • Reliable transportation and proof of automobile liability insurance (as required by company policy).
