Position Overview:
As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, the RN will work under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing or Hospice Administrator to deliver high-quality, patient- and family-centered care. The RN is responsible for assessing needs, planning, and implementing care that promotes comfort and dignity during end-of-life care.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide skilled, supportive nursing care in accordance with the attending physician’s orders and the patient’s individualized care plan.

Assess physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients and their families, and communicate effectively with physicians and other care team members.

Deliver nursing interventions aimed at enhancing comfort and quality of life.

Maintain adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Document patient care accurately and timely in compliance with hospice standards.
Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; current RN license in the state of Virginia.

Minimum of one year of direct patient care experience; hospice or palliative care experience strongly preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong clinical judgment.

Reliable transportation and proof of automobile liability insurance (as required by company policy).
