The Shapiro Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Clinical Services team. In this role, you will provide professional nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a supportive, team-based environment. Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care and support to individuals on assigned shifts.

Guide and support lower-level nursing and direct care staff in safe care practices.

Attend treatment team meetings and document medical updates for interdisciplinary coordination.

Complete quality assurance tasks, including audits and infection control reporting.

Serve as the shift’s nursing resource in the absence of other RNs.

Stay current with nursing techniques and regulatory updates through ongoing training.

Other duties as assigned in accordance with the role.
Required Qualifications:
-
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s, Diploma, or Bachelor’s in Nursing).

Current Illinois RN license.
-
This title qualifies under the Upward Mobility Program.
Conditions of Employment:
-
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call rotations.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and restrain individuals if needed for safety.

Basic computer proficiency and ability to use standard office equipment.

Must obtain and maintain CPR certification.

Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Must be able to travel for job-related duties.

8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Mon–Fri)

10:30 AM – 11:00 PM (varied shifts with rotating days)

6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (rotating schedules)

8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Mon–Fri)
