Job Title: Nurse Practitioner, Physician Associate (Functional Medicine & Aesthetics)

Employment Type: Part-time or Full-time

Compensation: $75 – $95 per hour (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in Functional Medicine and Aesthetics to join our team at Modern Age. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering personalized patient care through integrative, whole-person approaches, while also performing a range of aesthetic procedures. This role may be filled on either a part-time or full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

1. Functional Medicine Consultation & Treatment

• Conduct detailed patient evaluations, including comprehensive health histories and physical exams.

• Develop integrative treatment plans that address root causes of illness, focusing on lifestyle, nutrition, and evidence-based complementary therapies.

• Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other relevant procedures as needed.

• Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to patient health.

2. Aesthetic Procedures

• Perform non-surgical aesthetic treatments such as injectables (e.g., Botox, fillers), laser therapies, and other rejuvenation procedures in line with current protocols and best practices.

• Conduct thorough patient consultations regarding aesthetic goals and treatment options.

• Maintain a high level of patient satisfaction through safe practices, effective communication, and quality outcomes.

3. Patient Education & Follow-up

• Provide comprehensive patient education on lifestyle modifications, supplement use, and preventive measures.

• Offer clear post-procedure care instructions and follow-up schedules for aesthetic treatments.

• Ensure continuity of care by scheduling regular check-ins to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

4. Compliance & Safety

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards.

• Adhere to all clinical protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements for both functional medicine and aesthetic procedures.

• Keep current with the latest advancements in functional medicine, aesthetics, and overall healthcare best practices.

5. Collaboration & Professional Development

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including medical doctors, nutritionists, and other allied health professionals.

• Participate in staff meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional education to support continuous improvement in patient care.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to nursing staff or other team members as needed.

Qualifications

Education & Licensing

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Physician Associate from an accredited institution.

• Current and unencumbered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate license in New York.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably with exposure to integrative/functional medicine.

• Clinical expertise in aesthetics, with hands-on experience administering injectables, lasers, and other aesthetic treatments.

• Solid understanding of nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle medicine strategies.
