Position Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in our Family Birth Center, you will play a pivotal role in caring for patients through all stages of maternity—antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum. Using your clinical expertise, critical thinking, and compassion, you’ll coordinate care plans, advocate for patients, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

This role involves:

Leading and managing individualized patient care
Facilitating discharge planning and resource coordination
Supporting patients and families through every step of their birthing journey

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
ADN accepted if enrolled in a BSN program with completion within 2 years of hire or transfer
Official transcripts or diploma required

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience in obstetrics or a related field required (2 years preferred)
Proficiency with computerized documentation systems

Licenses/Certifications (Required):

Current, unrestricted California RN license
BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)

Preferred Certifications & Skills:

RNC-OB or equivalent specialty certification
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Course
Experience with Baby-Friendly practices
