Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is currently hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Psychiatry/Addiction Medicine Unit.
Our unit provides voluntary, short-term inpatient care for adults 18 years and older. We support patients through medical detoxification and withdrawal from substances such as alcohol, sedatives, and opioids. Comprehensive medical and psychiatric care is provided, addressing a wide range of mental health conditions in a safe, supportive environment. Treatment options include group therapy, occupational therapy, spiritual care, yoga and movement therapy, music and art therapy, case management, and discharge planning.
The Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine inpatient unit is part of Cottage Health’s broader treatment offerings, which include residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation and intensive outpatient programs throughout Santa Barbara.
Our clinical team has earned the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence award for three consecutive years, recognizing outstanding patient satisfaction, and we consistently rank among the highest in employee satisfaction within the organization.
Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience in acute care or mental health nursing

Valid California RN license

BLS certification from the American Heart Association
