Job Description
Sign-On Bonus Eligible – Registered Nurse (RN), Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 20-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)—a Beacon Award-winning unit recognized for clinical excellence. As part of a Level 1 Trauma Center, the SICU provides critical care to patients undergoing complex procedures, including trauma, neurosurgical and interventional insult, cardiovascular, thoracic, and general surgeries.
Minimum Qualifications
Education

Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Licenses and Certifications

Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA
Experience
-
Minimum: Recent acute care nursing experience (within the last two years)

Preferred: Prior critical care experience
