In this role, you will provide direct patient care, ensuring their safety and comfort under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director, with possible guidance from an LPN. Your responsibilities will vary depending on the patient care unit or department and may include assisting with personal hygiene, nutritional needs, comfort care, safe patient transfers, vital signs monitoring, accurate documentation, and promptly reporting any changes in patient condition to the RN. You will also maintain a clean, safe environment to support patient healing. All duties will be performed in compliance with standards set by The Joint Commission and relevant federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. Essentia Health in Fargo is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution.

Current nursing license in the state(s) where employed.

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 1 month of hire.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire.
