We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time roles at a correctional facility located in Sacramento, CA. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care and develop individualized nursing care plans in accordance with physician directives and clinical protocols

  • Administer medications, wound care, immunizations, and other prescribed treatments

  • Collect and label specimens for laboratory testing as needed

  • Accurately and thoroughly document nursing assessments, treatments, interventions, and patient responses in medical records

  • Monitor the physical and mental well-being of patients and respond to emergent or deteriorating conditions

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, mental health professionals, and other interdisciplinary team members

  • Provide patient education regarding chronic disease management, medication adherence, and general health practices

  • Uphold facility safety procedures and infection control standards

  • Maintain a secure and respectful working relationship with incarcerated individuals


Required Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional nursing experience; prior experience in correctional or institutional healthcare is preferred

  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from an accredited provider

  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and facility clearance process

  • Strong communication, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills

  • Comfortable working in a secure and structured environment
