Job Description
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, developing and implementing effective Occupational Therapy programs based on assessments, clinical judgment, and psychological sensitivity. This role serves both inpatients and outpatients with diverse medical conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing patients and designing individualized treatment plans.
- Providing patient education, consultation, and discharge planning.
- Supervising and delegating care to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), Rehab Technicians, and Occupational Therapy students.
- Contributing to program development and participating in research and outcome-based activities.
- Serving as a clinical and operational resource for fellow staff members in areas of expertise.
Minimum Education & Experience
Required:
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
Licensure & Certifications
- Illinois Licensed/Registered Occupational Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
