Rehabilitation Hospital Nursing Assistant
Location: Helen Hayes Hospital, operated by the State of New York
Status: Full-time, Part-time, and Per Diem Opportunities Available
Shifts: All shifts available; every other weekend off. Please specify your preferred shift when applying.

Position Overview
Rehabilitation Hospital Nursing Assistants play a vital role in supporting patient care at Helen Hayes Hospital. Under professional supervision, Nursing Assistants provide hands-on assistance with a range of essential activities, from attending to patients’ personal hygiene needs to performing a limited number of basic treatments and therapies. Responsibilities include assisting patients with bathing, dressing, perineal care, mobility, eating, and other daily living activities to ensure comfort, dignity, and quality of care.

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for full-time, part-time, and per diem positions. Nursing students who have completed at least two clinical rotations are encouraged to apply for per diem opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least one year of satisfactory full-time experience providing direct patient care or basic treatments under professional supervision

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not required
