Reimbursement Specialist I

We’re seeking a Reimbursement Specialist I to join our mission-driven team and help ensure timely and accurate copay reimbursement processing while supporting billing excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor claims activity and ensure timely and accurate submissions

• Verify and update patient billing information in pharmacy software

• Process manufacturer copay assistance reimbursements according to SOPs

• Respond to inquiries or complaints related to reimbursement or billing

• Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve claim issues

• Maintain thorough documentation of prescriptions, insurance, and billing records

• Assist with patient outreach related to outstanding balances and payment options

• Ensure all actions comply with federal/state laws and Lumicera’s ethical standards

• Participate in relevant reimbursement/billing-related meetings or conferences

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred

• Active pharmacy technician license or trainee license strongly preferred in states requiring licensure

• Experience with pharmacy billing, clinical claims, health plan systems, or claims auditing preferred

• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and compliance awareness

• Ability to work respectfully and collaboratively in a remote team setting
