Key Responsibilities of a Benefits Data Analyst

Accurately process and validate new group census data.

Manage, audit, and validate member enrollments and changes.

Collaborate with payroll vendors and insurance carriers to establish and maintain file feeds.

Identify and analyze data trends to prevent errors and improve processes.

Review and process daily file feeds from payroll vendors.

Partner with offshore teams to ensure smooth business operations.

Use SQL to audit groups, build files, and speed up member enrollment updates.

Complete additional projects and tasks as assigned.
What Makes a Successful Benefits Data Analyst

2+ years of experience in employee benefits or healthcare data.

Strong skills in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, filtering, etc.).

SQL knowledge required; experience with SSMS preferred.

Excellent planning, organization, and customer service skills.

Strong communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical teams.

Analytical thinker with a detail-oriented approach.

Experience with EDI/SFTP file transfers is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
