Renewal Manager – Genesys

We’re seeking a Renewal Manager to secure and grow recurring revenue by leading successful contract renewals, reducing churn, and identifying expansion opportunities. This role is a key part of driving Genesys’ mission to power the world’s best customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities

Own the renewal process: forecast, negotiate, and close renewals on time.

Meet quarterly and annual recurring revenue/bookings targets.

Monitor renewals 150+ days before expiration to ensure timely closure.

Identify at-risk renewals and develop remediation plans.

Educate customers on subscription value in alignment with Customer Success and Sales teams.

Ensure compliance with pricing, governance, and contract terms.

Proactively generate expansion opportunities (upsell, add-ons, cross-sell).

Collaborate across teams to accelerate negotiations and improve account retention.

Handle customer escalations and licensing discrepancies in line with company rules.
Required Qualifications

5+ years experience in renewals, customer success, or equivalent technology sales role.

Undergraduate degree required.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding retention/renewal goals.

Strong negotiation, communication, and closing skills.

Ability to build trust, manage conflict, and foster collaboration.

Skilled at managing multiple priorities and overcoming objections.

Experience with forecasting and managing customer relationships in a global tech environment.
