Job Summary
We are seeking a data-driven and collaborative Denials Researcher – Revenue Cycle Analyst to join our team at Conifer Health. This role is responsible for analyzing claim denials and operational risks across the revenue cycle and recommending data-driven solutions to reduce write-offs. You will serve as the key liaison between Denial Prevention and Operational teams, providing analytical insights that drive process improvements across scheduling, financial clearance, coding, billing, and appeals.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary analyst for denial data, operational fallouts, and claims resolution gaps

Research and report root causes of denials; deliver actionable insights and KPI trending

Support Denial Prevention in identifying training, system, and workflow improvement needs

Evaluate operational processes across the revenue cycle and recommend optimization strategies

Lead and participate in denial-related subcommittees and cross-functional workgroups

Present findings and reports using Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; communicate clearly with stakeholders

Provide analytical and project management support for regional or national initiatives

Maintain compliance with HIPAA, company policies, and regulatory guidelines

Collaborate closely with clinical, coding, billing, and appeal teams
Required Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in revenue cycle or acute healthcare environments

Comprehensive understanding of hospital revenue cycle and denial trends

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify risks, and recommend improvements

Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

Strong communication, relationship management, and time management skills

Familiarity with project coordination, change management, and performance tracking
Education & Certifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience working in or alongside Denial Management, Billing, or Revenue Cycle Operations strongly preferred

Experience in healthcare consulting or process improvement is a plus
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Remote/Office-based role with optional travel

Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay: $20.51 – $30.77 (based on experience and location)
Bonuses & Holiday Pay: Signing bonus for qualified hires, time-and-a-half on Conifer-observed holidays
