Job Summary
The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth service, customer satisfaction, and adherence to quality and safety standards. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, resolving customer complaints, and supporting the restaurant manager in meeting sales and operational goals. The supervisor ensures team efficiency, maintains high standards of hygiene and presentation, and provides hands-on support during busy hours.
Job Duties

Assist with monitoring storage, preparation, cooking, handling, and serving of all food and beverage products to ensure correct recipe, portion, and specification standards. Controls and minimizes waste.

Perform shift opening and closing duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager such as starting equipment and cleaning the grill and surrounding area, as well as other kitchen equipment.

Assist with handling customer complaints and problems in a professional manner.

Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff.

Coordinate team member selection and development and ensure team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.

Monitor inventory and coordinate with suppliers for restocking.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Represent the restaurant, as well as the resort, to customers in a positive manner.

Supervise the condition, repair, and appearance of all equipment. Report any malfunctions to the Restaurant or Resort Manager.

Assist with coordinating daily and weekly menu specials based on food availability.

Work as scheduled and as necessary in any position in the restaurant, and perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (Required)
-
1 year restaurant supervisory experience (Required)

Valid driver’s license
-
Demonstrated knowledge of restaurant administration, food preparation and food safety

Basic math skills
-
Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills

Ability to lift at least 50 pounds

Demonstrated leadership abilities
-
Basic computer proficiency, including email and internet use
