Retail Cashier

Overview

The Cashier plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences by ensuring a seamless shopping environment. Through a combination of helpfulness, deep product knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining high standards, the Cashier efficiently manages Front-End operations while providing top-tier service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and proactively engage with them to understand their needs and enhance their shopping experience.

• Process sales transactions and returns in accordance with established procedures.

• Promote and encourage participation in company programs, such as customer loyalty, warranty sales, and private label credit card enrollment.

• Follow company policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operations, while maintaining confidentiality of all company information.

• Create an inclusive environment where both teammates and customers feel respected, safe, and valued.

• Take a team-oriented approach, providing support throughout the store when needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred.

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and occasionally lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs (up to 5 times per hour).

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).

• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours).

Compensation

• Targeted Pay Range: $14 – $22 per hour. Starting pay may vary based on location, experience, and position. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location.
