About the Job

Our client, a Health Services Organization, is seeking a Retinal Imaging Technician to join their team in Tampa, FL. In this role, you’ll contribute to improving patient outcomes by supporting essential eye screenings, primarily for diabetic patients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and excels in patient communication—key qualities for success in this position.

Position: Retinal Imaging Technician

Location: Tampa, FL
Pay Rate: $23/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture high-quality retinal images of diabetic patients.

  • Educate patients about the screening purpose and set clear expectations.

  • Upload and transmit images and reports via an online portal promptly after each session.

  • Travel to various screening locations, handling setup and wrap-up responsibilities.

  • Collaborate with both on-site staff and remote team members to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting involving direct patient or customer interaction.

  • Preferred: 1+ year of experience in medical or eye care environments.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
